VPN PLAYER DIARY – MAY 10, 2009

Today I decided to see how much further I could get in those caverns I was exploring the other day. This time I was prepared – plenty of food and water, and wearing my brand new seabreeze tunic. I also found a neat little laser gun that I thought might help out with those ghosts I encountered. The first few caverns were quite easy, as I had already broken through before. Then, I came upon those ghosts and they would not let me pass! The first time I encountered them, they scared me so bad I ran out of there quick! I did manage to hit four of them before I left though. Back I went, with a little more courage, but once again I had to run out of there as they overwhelmed me. Determined, I went back in again. This time I held my ground no matter how scary they looked. Wouldn’t you know it, I ended up getting eight of them! As soon as I hit the eighth one, a secret panel in the back area opened up. How nice! No need to break any more bricks in this room. Carefully I went through the hole deeper into the cavern…

I tried to go further, but it was getting too late. I really wanted to make sure I had a gift for my mum before the stores all closed, so I left the cavern for another time.

On my way to the store, I came across the most lovely field of flowers I had ever seen. Wow, was this here before? I looked around to see if there were any signs stating that it was private property or anything but found nothing. This would make a great gift! After a few minutes, I had myself a colorful and impressive bouquet. What luck!

Continuing on, I could smell something cooking nearby. A bakery! Mmmmm, perhaps I could buy mum a cake! But there was no one to be found. Perhaps they were making a delivery. Well, time was ticking and if I couldn’t buy a cake, perhaps I could make one. But that would take time, meaning I needed the ingredients now. I’m sure they wouldn’t mind if I ‘borrowed’ some ingredients…I would come back later to pay for what I used. I got some flour, sugar and icing and went home to bake my cake. It turned out perfect! Mum loved her gift so much that she gave ME a gift back! So typical…I opened up my package to find a….erm, a….well, ummm, yeah, a knit hat! Hand made, I believe…for when my questing took me somewhere cold….o.O Love you mum!!!

Well, what about all the other people that might want to give their mum a cake? Surely some people would need help. I went back to the bakery and the Cake Lady was back. I paid her for what I had used before, and then proceeded to buy up most of her stock. “What do you need all of that for?” she inquired. I explained how I wanted to help provide cakes as gifts for other people today. After all, her cake recipe was the best in all of VPN land! One hundred or so oughta do it, I said. I spent the rest of the afternoon baking and only took a few short breaks to see what all the commotion was about over in Emerald Acres. Even took some time to help out the mayor! (tell you all about that another time…)

With my baking done and given out to anyone in need, I sat back and enjoyed a slice for myself. Happy mother’s day to me.
