Little Rock Pool

Meteor Games has recently released a new Facebook application, called Little Rock Pool. The simple game gives the player a “rock pool” to grow plants and fish in. As you can see in the screenshot below, the game looks very similar to Island Paradise, although is still in Alpha stage and has quite a few bugs.

    Wonderful…another farming game…:(

I guess that type of game must be successful enough for Meteor Games to make another one. Why aren’t you too fond of farming games?

Actually it’s a rock pool game. I don’t know about other fish games but at least this one allows you to play the game in at least 5 minute intervals (later the Jelly Berries allow you to play in 3 min. intervals). So the graphics and playability are a much needed improvement to fish games from what I hear. (Well most of what I hear is complainers doing their usual war against all bugs of any kind but…)

There are certainly bug problems, as now we are going on day #2 of not being able to feed our fish… and I expect they will all die pretty soon. When you try to feed them it says, “There is a problem. We’ll fix it soon. Sorry.” Most games, when they are screwing up, will at least let you know that the crops won’t wilt and the animals won’t starve… this one who knows? Mighty annoying. And I also have to say that about a month ago I bought a jellyfish that I had for about an hour, that disappeared. So I emailed support and no one ever contacted me, and I never got that jellyfish back again. Strike three and I’m out…

I’m not sure how long you have been playing games from Meteor Games, but in my experience they are extremely hard working, and player-focused. They want to produce great games, and ensure their players are happy and having fun. Little Rock Pool has over 800,000 monthly players, and Meteor Games has in total around 7 million monthly players. If things go wrong, there are a lot of potential people to reply to and help.
Since they haven’t replied to your note about the jellyfish, send it once again, just to make sure they got it. Again, there are a lot of people who may need help.
