Life isn’t easy in the Big City. For starters, there’s the noise. And the pollution. And the crime. And… the Vampires. In Bitten, you take on the roll of a newly inducted Creature of the Night. Make new friends or drain their blood. Evade capture from vampire hunters and look for a night job to keep a roof over your head and the deadly sun at bay. Will you retain your humanity or embrace the darkness? The choice is yours!

The following is speculation of Bitten from Max VelDink. These ideas are not guarenteed to be in the final version of the game or at all. The views are those of him only.
Above, there was a paragraph taken from the Meteor Games preview page. Let’s go ahead and dissect it a little to see what we can speculate about the game. First, there is the introduction, indicating a Big City, which is capitilized. This could indicate that it’s the name of the city, or it could just be that way to draw attention to itself. Regardless, we know it’s in a New York-esque city. Think Gotham City.
Further on, it says you are a newly inducted creature of the night. Judging by this, you have recently become a vampire, probably through means of being bitten by another vampire. However, there could be another way you arrived at this change.
The rest of the paragraphs talks about the certain features that will be in the game. You will be able to meet new friends, or drain their blood. This could mean that you have a friends and enemies list in game. There is a group of people called Vampire Hunters who do just that, hunt you. You must evade them. Further reading says that you can buy a job and indicates housing. Also, there is a focus on the sun and it being your mortal enemy. Last but not least, it lends itself to one of the major choices you could make in the game, becoming a vampire with dark powers or retaining humanity, which might grant your light powers.
