Today I decided to see how much further I could get in those caverns I was exploring the other day. This time I was prepared – plenty of food and water, and wearing my brand new seabreeze tunic. I also found a neat little laser gun that I thought might help out with those ghosts I encountered. The first few caverns were quite easy, as I had already broken through before. Then, I came upon those ghosts and they would not let me pass! The first time I encountered them, they scared me so bad I ran out of there quick! I did manage to hit four of them before I left though. Back I went, with a little more courage, but once again I had to run out of there as they overwhelmed me. Determined, I went back in again. This time I held my ground no matter how scary they looked. Wouldn’t you know it, I ended up getting eight of them! As soon as I hit the eighth one, a secret panel in the back area opened up. How nice! No need to break any more bricks in this room. Carefully I went through the hole deeper into the cavern…

Incredible week so far. I love it that there is always something new being added and that now there is so much that I have to make choices on what to work on first.
Last night I came across something interesting on Sunning Plateau. I was at the waterfall to do a little fishing, when suddenly I realized someone was behind me. A lizardman was standing there and he asked me if I had monster insurance. I told him no. He then proceeded to ask me what I would do if a monster ate all of my belongings. What? My bunny? Yep. My teddy bear? Yep. *gasp* MY I.W.C.I.T.J.M.A.A.I.G.W.T.L.T shirt!! Yep, yep and yes! Oh my. I didn’t like the sound of that. I thought about those eggs I had left over from Easter…the one’s starting to crack…hmmmm…..well, he went on to tell me that for one gold coin, I could at least insure my belongings. I told him the price seemed a bit steep to me. He asked me if I knew of anyone else offering such insurance. He had a point there. So, I bought it. I wonder if I’ll need it….I wonder if he’ll be around in a year if I want to renew it….

Fourty days old today. Yep. And the game is getting better and better. We can chat in a Tavern now. That was a lot of fun. I tried to be funny and hid behind the pole so all you could see was my chat box. I’m not sure if others thought it was funny or were just being nice to me…:) I enjoyed it anyway. It was neat to see all the characters that I chat with on the forums and meet some new people also. I love it that there is art on the wall from real people! I’m working on something I hope can be in there someday.
We also have some other new additions. Luck, for one. Of which mine has been all bad…lol. It hasn’t seemed to affect my questing yet. I still run around in the Jungle for hours before I finally get that daily. I still fail low level quests at the oddest times. Still seems very random. However, I am sure this will become more evident as the game goes on. Either way, there is a greater and greater variety of ways to earn/get achievements which is making things very interesting. While I don’t care if I am number one with achievements, I do care that I actually GET an achievement. So, while I don’t have to be number one to get that squirrel to the top of the tree, I will continue to try as much as I can until I conquer it!! As of today, I still can’t even get to halfway again.
And then there is fame. I sure wouldn’t mind being famous! I like it that we will be able to use special pets and items but also that they will not really affect game play. Too bad all my friends are ‘mature’ adults. Who really wants to be a mature adult anyway?? I like the way MG is trying very hard to balance paying the bills, having a top quality free play game and still making it fair for those who don’t pay for things. (same for meteor store)
Well, back to the game with me. Oh, and even though she probably won’t read this, happy birthday Lucy!!

What a day. Didn’t have too much time to play today so I was glad to see there were no big updates. However, they did release a new mini game – Legends of Laundry. Excuse me? Legends?? o.O Anyway, I do not do very well at any of these games. Ninja Squirrel makes my hand ache and my head hurt. I did finally make it half way, but the stress was incredible! However, I am just stubborn enough to keep trying to finally make it to the top of that tree. I don’t do too bad with Witchery 101 and actually enjoy that game. I hope they bring out some achievements for that one. But this new one, well, let’s just say I never liked it on Twin Skies and I’m not seeing any reason to fall in love with it on VPN. Once again, I am just stubborn enough to keep working at it until I reach that 30,000 mark for the achievement.
I am really looking forward to being able to chat in the game. Should be interesting! Also, I’m looking forward to seeing how ‘luck’ will affect game play. Interestingly enough, after my write up regarding how lucky I have been with VPN, today my luck meter was at -5. The tides are turning…

I’ve never been a lucky person. Never. Oh, I’ve won a couple of trinkets in my time and even gotten a break or two that put me ahead of someone else, but I’ve never won a big prize or been the one that gets that rare item before anyone else……until now that is….
